Hello, my name is Nancy, and I provide therapy through Calgary Mental Health & Wellness Centre and Cienna Mental Health & Wellness Centre. Navigating emotional, relational, or life transitions can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re carrying more than you can put into words. My goal as a therapist is to create a warm, supportive space where you feel understood, grounded, and safe to explore your experiences at your own pace.
About Nancy
I believe counselling begins with feeling safe, heard, and understood. My approach is warm, compassionate, and strengths-based, with a focus on meeting you where you are and creating a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself.
I have experience supporting individuals, children, adolescents, and families through a wide range of experiences and challenges, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, emotional regulation, parent-child conflict, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and other concerns that can impact overall well-being.
I believe that everyone has unique strengths, experiences, and capacity for growth. Together, we can explore what you are experiencing, build insight and practical skills, strengthen relationships, and work toward the changes that feel meaningful to you.
My approach is collaborative and individualized. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work alongside you to understand your needs, goals, and what will be most helpful. Whether you are navigating a difficult season, working through challenges in your relationships, supporting your child, or wanting to better understand yourself, counselling can provide a space to slow down, gain perspective, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
Therapeutic Approach
My approach integrates a blend of evidence-based and expressive therapies, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based strategies, somatic approaches, and attachment-focused work. These approaches support clients in processing experiences safely while reconnecting with a sense of agency, regulation, and resilience.
