988 anywhere in Canada. Support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Calgary Mental Health & Wellness Centre and Cienna Mental Health & Wellness Centre are not an emergency or crisis-response services.

Substance Use & Addiction Support

  • Alberta Addiction Helpline: 1-866-332-2322
  • Ontario: ConnexOntario offers free and confidential information about addiction treatment and community services.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous provides peer-support meetings for people seeking support with alcohol use.
  • Narcotics Anonymous provides community-based peer support for people affected by substance use.

Family Violence, Abuse & Safety

Call 911 when someone is in immediate danger.

  • Ontario Assaulted Women’s Helpline: Visit the Assaulted Women’s Helpline for crisis counselling, emotional support, safety planning and referrals.

Sexual Assault Support

Confidential medical care and emotional support are available through hospitals, urgent-care centres and specialized sexual-assault services.
